NA Vumbuka

La Compagnie Kangou comes from Congolese “Ngwakatour”, itinerant percussionists groups, whose role in society was (and is) to enact ritual homage to ancestors, “kikulu”.
Na Vumbuka mixes traditional rhythms with dance, songs of personal power and ancestral spirituality with village chit-chat to enact the “power” of all things and people to transform, to live through death and rebirth as one in circularity, as in kikulu. This is what “African” means to us.
